You don’t need any message from me about what to do (social distancing, hand-washing, etc.). So let’s look at this a little differently…..
We have all been given the gift of time – what will you do with your gift?
We have a golden opportunity to use this gift in positive, productive, compassionate, loving and inspiring ways. For example:
- Call someone you haven’t spoken to for a while and tell them you love them.
- Call an employee and let them know how grateful you are for their good work.
- Be silly.
- Back up your computer.
- Meditate.
- Exercise.
- Be grateful that you are healthy and saving lives by staying home.
- Study YouTube to learn about that project you have been putting off for so long.
- Renew your vows.
- Get some extra rest.
- Learn something new.
- Gather your team on a video call – and celebrate.
- Have a quarantini .
- Become more familiar with video conferencing software (Teams, Zoom, Maestro, Facetime, Google Meet, etc) – they are your future.
- Love more.
- Stop reading all the news about the novel coronavirus – serve others and stay optimistic instead.
How do you plan to use this unique gift of time to inspire yourself and others? Share your creative ideas in the “comments” section below.
I am choosing to be aware of my conditioned-mind thoughts and work with the exercise of letting go of those thoughts and beliefs. I have the power to choose to feel and then let go of these limiting feelings. When I do this moment by moment, releasing fear, doubt etc., what is left there is peace and love.
I have created a free release meditation for others who are interested in doing this as well.
I am working in the garden pulling out the crab grass, I am creating art and listening from within to what my intuition is saying and following it.
I have written to The CBC National News and to my local on-line paper asking them to focus on the good of how both business and people are helping one another and making this a creative time.
Would you consider doing this as well? Let us choose to focus on unconditional love and see what happens when we do this.
Great advice Eileen. This might interest you too – https://www.optimistdaily.com/
Thank you Lance.
I think if people could really understand that our bodies are in our consciousness, so whatever consciousness we are holding, is affecting the body. So the more we let go of fears and limitations and rest in the consciousness of peace and love, we can realize that it is Love and Peace affect the body. It is the consciousness that creates the effect.
So, as the wisdom goes, “We are our thoughts”.
Thanks Eileen – please make your free release meditation available.
Thank you for the opportunity to comment, Lance.
I am already close to family and friends and tell them regularly that I love them but I am making sure that I greet strangers as I take my exercise walks twice a day. Just a “good morning” r “good afternoon”. Who knows whether I might be the only one greeting them this day? A seemingly small measure but one I feel strongly about.
So good to hear your “voice” Maureen!
I am staying with my movement and meditation practices.

I am doing most of the things listed as well as spring cleaning, spending time collaborating on future projects, offering my time via virtual environments to connect with others, and being fully engaged in play and nature with my dog Kimmie!
…and of course, Changing the World!
Thanks for the reminder of all the things we can do. Let’s not feel sorry for ourselves.
If we all call one old friend a day to remind them that we are thinking about them. Use the social media to share smiles and positive thoughts!

I am meditating and sending healing energy out to the world! I am working out and keeping my body as healthy as possible. I am studying nutrition and healthy aging. And I am getting a start on my spring cleaning!
Ah, yes! Meditation – so vital for us at this time.
I agree with all that’s been listed and SO appreciate the ideas… I have NOT done them all, but it appears I’ll have the time 😉 I have also tried to be a more patient, listen MORE, be available to other (from a safe distance for us all ;)) and add a bit more grace and caring to all my emails. I’m on email all day with clients and friends from across the world. I’ve tried to be sure I raise my response above just “work”… check-in to be sure they are safe and well, and to make myself available to them in any way they may need me.
THANKS for this post. Be well and safe dear friends!
Bob, thanks for this – and perhpas we will see a more virtual world as a result of our new found familiarity with working remotely, and thus save the planet from pollution and stress going forward while removing useless friction from the system?
Great list Lance. I would like to add: Get out of the news and tech and find your way back to the body. I am creating routine to stay true to movement and meditation practice.
In this period of global uncertainty, many are experiencing overwhelm and a constant state of semi-presence. Too much negative news and tech can pull us more and more into our heads. We can reduce stress by alternating between stillness and movement. We can get back in the body.
To support this, I am providing a free community Still Movement class 3x/week during this pandemic, however long it lasts.
I invite everyone to allow yourself to reconnect with the body, giving the mind a chance to rest. Playfulness and spontaneity are encouraged. The class incorporates Social Presencing practices as well as Scaravelli inspired yoga.(Sundays, 10am EST, Tuesdays and Fridays, 8.30am EST). https://www.facebook.com/events/2646663222283086/
What a great idea Michelle! You hasve inspired me to do the same! Thank you.
