Susan Nind has over 20 years experience as a change agent and animator with groups and individuals progressing through major life transitions. As a consultant and facilitator, she has worked with organizations engaged in change due to major restructuring. Recently, this includes contracts with both provincial and federal government departments and private businesses, consulting with management, and conducting seminars and workshops with front-line employees throughout the Maritime provinces.
Understanding the power of the group to forward the transition process, Susan's expertise lies in accurately identifying and responding to individuals' needs while attending to group/team goals. Building on group and individual strengths, she invites people to engage in a process based on personal identification of change objectives, and encourages them to resolve obstacles to desired change. Through individual consultation, Susan is adept at assisting employees to hone in on areas for personal and professional development. Her leadership style fosters a positive orientation to learning and change which is results-based.
Ten years' experience in curriculum development and delivery at the community college and university level, along with diverse opportunities to work with groups developing proposals, devising mission statements, identifying strategic objectives and successfully securing funding for and implementing agreed-upon plans has honed her skills in matching content and methods to achieving desired outcomes.
Susan has held the position of teaching master at two community colleges and lecturer and assistant professor at two universities in Ontario and New Brunswick. She holds a Master of Science Degree in Family and Consumer Studies with a specialization in systems theory.
